Spanish on a Bicicleta
Bicicleta is a Spanish course for children from 6 to 11 years old. It is offered as a pedagogical pair, each course works with its own teacher and/or specialist: a language teacher (Spanish in use) and another one dedicated to teaching the artistic discipline.
What does Bicicleta offer?
The “Bicicleta” Spanish course is a three-level Spanish course for children focused on those interested in developing communicative, intercultural and artistic skills. It is ideal for children who wish to explore Spanish through an enriching cultural immersion and the link to their Spanish-speaking roots.
How is Spanish taught?
The teaching method of the “Bicicleta” course is interactive and based on experiential learning, using artistic disciplines such as music, literature and theater to promote a deep understanding and meaningful learning of Spanish.
Bicicleta 1: Focuses on the “Where do we live?” and “Where do we come from?” dimensions. Students work descriptive and narrative skills through written expression, exploring music and song. Dialogue and cultural exchange are encouraged, with age-appropriate readings and thematic diversity.
Bicicleta 2: Aimed at intermediate level students, this level allows the deepening of linguistic, communicative and intercultural skills. Each session has a specific theme, explored through literature and long texts for a deeper understanding.
Bicicleta 3: For advanced students, this level includes workshops in language, literary creation, visual arts and theater. Each session focuses on an artistic discipline, with emphasis on reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar in context and Latin-Canadian sociocultural content.
Advantages of the “Bicicleta” course
